I got a CRO and looked at the signal level from the SBS-1

I tried with no pre-amp and with a preamp.

Here are my results

The noise floor went from 176mV to 364 mV after adding the amp.

The level of an ADS-B signal went from 820mV to 960mV after adding the amp.
